The Vertical Project, Luke Lowrey’s revolutionary program for increasing your vertical jump, is fast becoming the “must have” training manual for any athlete serious about improving their jump, agility, and general quickness.

While the program has helped many professional and college level athletes improve their game no end, as with any training program there are definitely some pros and cons with the vertical project…

Here are a few:

The Vertical Project - Pros:

Increased mobility – This is probably the thing that people find most surprising – sure, getting a huge amount of rise and being able to stuff it home is great, but that’s what the program’s for. But experiencing the feeling of increased quickness and agility is pretty amazing. You’ll feel like noone on the other team has a chance of stopping you…

The rise – having a much bigger vertical jump than the average player suddenly changes the complexion of a game – the other players have to watch out for you on the boards, and they have to be very wary of your drive – nobody likes getting dunked on! Psychologically this can give you a huge edge – if the other team see you dunking off the backboard or just stuffing them home while you’re running layup lines, it’s going to make a lot of them worry about you before the game even starts…

The respect – You can expect to suddenly become the best athlete on your team. Even if some of your other skills are lacking, you’ll be able to impress people with sheer athleticism. This goes a long way with coaches, so if you’re getting cut, the vertical project could mean you suddenly find a spot on the team…

The Vertical Project - Cons:

No paper version – the program is instantly downloadable as soon as you buy it – yes, it means you get access so you can start right away, but my printer was out of ink the day I bought it. It meant I had to refer to the computer screen each time I wanted to check something or change my UPN. It’s a small problem, but it did bug me.

The Price – To be honest I was a little surprised at the price. I was reluctant to buy it at first, I only got it because of the guarantee and all the success stories. Once I’d been doing it a while and got myself up above the rim, it definitely seemed worthwhile. The first time I went to the Y and managed to flush it on someone in a pickup game, man I would have paid a thousand bucks for this thing! At first though, the price put me off – it actually stopped me ordering for a while…
